About the OpportunityJohnson Hana is seeking to hire a Due Diligence/Compliance Specialist to join the Johnson Hana Community.
We have an exciting upcoming project with a large financial institution.
This project will range from 6-12 months in length and there is a strong potential for the project to be extended beyond this timeframe.
ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough due diligence and background checks to ensure candidates meet fitness and probity standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.Manage the submission and approval process for high-level positions, including annual refreshes and compliance with central bank standards.Identify and mitigate potential risks by validating credentials, conducting criminal background checks, and performing adverse media searches.Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and report findings to senior management and relevant regulatory bodies.Coordinate with a panel of consultants to perform due diligence tasks and implement compliance processes effectively.Ensure data and document security and confidentiality.Communicate with clients to clearly understand the project and aim to provide solutions to meet the project objectives.Maintain a high level of professionalism and competence when dealing with the client and working on the project.Skills & ExperienceLaw Degree or relevant qualification.Experience within a compliance/regulatory function.Experience with overseeing a series of regulatory and compliance checks for initial appointments, annual recertifications, and specific controlled functions (PCF, CF1, CF2) in line with global standards.Experience in setting up operations relating to Fitness & Probity checks.Preferably experience within banking or a financial institution.Ability to work with a variety of teams and stakeholders.Strong organizational skills and good attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.How to ApplyIf you are a passionate conveyancing solicitor who would like to develop your career in a growing practice, please forward a Word formatted CV to our principal legal Consultant Fionntán Gamble immediately to hear more.
