A snapshot of your peer group:Irish Planning Institute professional accreditation, and/or Royal Town Planning Institute accreditation.At least 3 years' experience working within the planning and development industryStrong knowledge of the Irish planning processes including planning application and development management processes, EIAR etc.Experience working with Design Teams in the preparation and lodgement of planning applications, planning appeals, site feasibility studies, and planning strategies.Experience working in Strategic / Forward Planning (e.g the preparation of planning policy documents; strategies; statutory and non-statutory land use plans for urban and rural areas)Experience in undertaking public and/or stakeholder engagement exercisesYour responsibilities:Actively contribute to, and lead on, a portfolio of planning and development projects.Manage relations with KPMG Future Analytics existing client base in a proactive and positive manner.Plan and manage own work, showing commitment to continuous professional development.Support and provide guidance to junior members of staff.Prepare and coordinate planning applications, appeals, planning reports, feasibility studies and EIARs (non-specialist chapters).Provide planning advice and opinion on a range of planning and environmental policy and regulation.Prepare and support the development of planning policy documents; strategies; and statutory and non-statutory land use plans for urban and rural areas.Undertake research into evolving and emerging spatial planning concepts and approaches.Assist with the undertaking of public and stakeholder consultation activities.Contribute to the creation of new opportunities and new ideas – developing best practice.Carry out other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature to those described above as may be allocated from time to time.Your team:You will be joining a department/team of c.40 people within the KPMG Future Analytics Team.
KPMG Future Analytics is KPMG Ireland's planning, economics and research consultancy which specialises in the provision of expert advice to public and private sector clients.
Acquired in 2020, our planning consultancy team can advise on securing planning consent, identifying development potential, coordinating Design Teams and adding value, while enabling our clients to make informed decisions supported by socio-economic data, deep insight and rigorous analysis.
