ContextWe have a new opportunity for an experienced Senior Consultant – Transport Modelling to join our growing Strategic Modelling team, based in our Dublin office with the flexibility of hybrid working. The successful candidate will join a high performing Transport Planning and Modelling team providing strong technical guidance to both existing and new clients across Ireland. The Senior Consultant will focus on developing strategic highway, public transport and/or multi-modal models. With the support of the Modelling and Appraisal, Public Transport and Transport Planning teams in across the UK and Ireland, you will play a key role in delivering/managing projects.
Missions/Main DutiesSupporting the management and delivery of Data, Modelling and Analytics projects in Ireland. Becoming a technical expert in the application of the National Transport Authority Regional Transport Modelling system including the setting up and running of modelling scenarios and the extraction, processing and presentation of modelling results to clients and stakeholders.
Act as a technical lead on small/medium projectsExecute tasks to quality, time and budgetSpecify information requirements directly to the clientIdentify the information needed to deliver tasksReview the accuracy of Assistant consultants' analysisStakeholder, client and cross functional relationship managementDemonstrate thoroughness and judgement in analysing information and presenting conclusionsDemonstrate intermediate proficiency in the application of a broad range of methods, techniques and toolsTake responsibility for defined sections of SYSTRA reports. Ensuring successful project delivery to time, cost, quality and other contractual requirements.Working with clients to understand ultimate objectives and desired outcomes for each projectProfile/SkillsQualitative & quantitative research skillsWorking with complex datasetsTransport or mathematical modelling experienceExperience using any one or more of Cube, SATURN, Aimsun, Paramics, Vissum, Vissim, EMMEExperience with the NTA RMSComputer skills including some of the following:AutoCAD designSpreadsheetsDatabasesProgramming / codingStatistical analysisBeing a team player and contributing to projects in other sectors as required (Transport Planning, Rail consultancy, development planning etc)Why SYSTRA?
