Senior Content Designer - Sustainability Software

Details of the offer

We are looking for a talented senior content designer to help make a meaningful impact on how our clients use our products. You'll do this by designing and developing technical product content, both inside and outside of the user interface (UI), with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and the user experience. The design team you'll be joining is part of the worldwide design organization for Sustainability Software – a part of IBM that is collectively responsible for software products focused on AI-enabled solutions that assist our customers in making more informed and data-driven decisions about how to manage their business and services. This role is a senior position for someone who enjoys working with new toolsets and processes to deliver class-leading content.

Responsibilities

Collaborate on driving a cohesive end-to-end content experience that moves clients through every phase of their product journey and drives their actions.
Design, develop, and publish IBM technical content (e.g. embedded in the UI, product tours, messages, product & API documentation, multimedia) that is easy to use, easy to understand, and easy to find.

Simplify technically complex concepts and details from multiple sources into consumable content that drives user actions.

Deliver clear, inclusive, accessible, and translated content for a global audience.

Research and design content based on user scenarios and use cases by understanding personas, delivering content for design iterations, developing and clarifying UI terms, actively contributing to design reviews and conducting user testing/research to validate content.

Collaborate directly with your Design team, Product Management, Development, Marketing, Support, Sales and Training to tell a cohesive product story. Use expertise and user empathy to influence product design decisions to deliver the best user experiences we can for our clients.

Share work in progress, along with giving and receiving critiques.

Own parts of the end-to-end authoring process: design, development, editing, production, translation, life cycle management.
