As Development Manager, you will be the leader of the Stratus Imaging Analytics team. The Stratus Imaging Analytics team is focused on building our Analytics solution for our Enterprise Imaging portfolio. The team is based mainly in Ireland, with some resources in Canada. The products have customers in Europe, Canada, and the United States. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer that is focused on delivery of value to our customers, and who will also have a passion for innovation and improvement.

Primary Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, to ingest, transform, and store healthcare data from various enterprise data sourcesAnalyze raw data sources, data transformation, structural requirements for new software and applicationIdentify, design, and implement internal process improvements, such as:Data encryptionData de-identification to ensure data securityRole-based data accessAutomating manual processesOptimizing data deliveryTuning and optimizing data processes for greater scalabilityDesign, build and implement automation processes for production release of data engineering, machine learning and business intelligence processesCode, test, document, and maintain high-quality and scalable Big Data solutionsDefine security and backup strategy for data solutionsBuild and implement batch and near real time data pipelinesHelp to ensure successful deployment of newly implemented data solutionsWork with less structured, more complex issuesServe as a technical leader and mentor to othersRequired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, a related field or equivalent industry experienceExtensive experience in SQL and object-oriented / object functional scripting language: Python, Scala, Java, etc.Proficient with Azure, AWS or GCPProven experience with GitHub and cloud environment toolsHands-on experience of developing big data processes using big data tools – Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, etc.Data Quality and Data Security process, tools and technologies knowledgePreferred Qualifications: Healthcare industry knowledge and experience with exposure to EDI, HIPAA, HL7 and FHIR integration standardsPrevious experience in leading teams/people management and mentoringData Virtualization tools and technology experienceExperience with Metadata management and Data Catalog management process, tools and technologiesExperience with Spark in data processing and machine learning processesHands-on experience with related/complementary open-source software platforms and languages (e.g. Java, Angular, Scala Linux, Apache, Unix)Experience with API technologiesProfessional GCP Data Engineer CertificationPlease note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
