The AI CoE will be responsible for driving and supporting the development and implementation of AI solutions across the business and ensuring alignment with our AI framework and data ethics principles. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for implementing AI solutions that are aligned to the bank's strategic objectives and deliver positive customer outcomes, and measurable business value. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that AI initiatives are aligned with the bank's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about collaboration and excited by the prospect of shaping the future of AIB through AI. The successful candidate will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical techniques to extract insights from vast amounts of data, develop predictive models, and contribute to the creation of AI-driven solutions that deliver measurable value for the business, and better and fairer outcomes for our customers, colleagues and communities.This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for the successful candidate to support the expansion of the team's ability; we will challenge you with real business problems and tool you with the best technologies to deliver innovative solutions.Key accountabilities: Applies scientific methods through experimental design, exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing to reach robust conclusions.Demonstrates critical thinking, adept at identifying and articulating data science solutions supporting business growth.Is future focused, continuously developing data science and AI knowledge, and ways of utilising new tools and techniques to tackle business and organisational challenges, ensuring knowledge, ideas and best practice is adopted across the team.Thinks holistically and strategically with a proven ability to plan, organise, and manage complex AI products.Demonstrates thought leadership and supports the Head of AI in the development and delivery of our strategy and roadmap.Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent qualification.4+ years' experience as Data Scientist or experience in financial services with relevant data science qualifications.Highly numerate and passionate about data and analytics with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Has delivered a catalogue of use cases with proven value, utilising a broad spectrum of techniques.Strong knowledge and understanding of AI concepts, tools, and applications, with track record in delivering value from data science initiatives.Why Work for AIB: We are committed to offering our colleagues choice and flexibility in how we work and live and our hybrid working model enables our people to balance their time between working from home and their designated office, subject to their role, the needs of our customers and business requirements.
