Overview Waters are seeking a Senior Design Quality Engineer to join their team on a FTC 12 month contract.This position will be accountable for concurrent quality engineering activities associated with new product development, on-market product design change for instrument hardware and software.
Primary responsibility will be to provide design quality engineering support in the following areas: design controls, risk management, defect assessment, previous product analysis, change control, post market review, continuous improvement and establishment of appropriate requirements management and traceability.We are very flexible and able to see the benefit in transferable skills, if you feel you have some but not all of the skills and experience below, please apply!Whilst we would like a candidate to be able to attend a manufacturing site in Wilmslow or Wexford, we're open to other locations and fully remote for the right candidate.

Responsibilities Participate in new product development projects by providing design quality engineering support for assigned projects.
Ensure engineering and scientific analyses are employed and design history files align with company policies and applicable standards and regulations.Key deliverables include but are not limited to performing previous product analysis on similar products and risk management activities.
Supporting project team activities for requirements management, design reviews, design verification, design validation, design transfer to manufacturing, risk management documentation completion tracking, and product release authorization for distribution of product.Collaborate with the Product Improvement Team to understand inherent product design issues and mitigating controls, to assess the risk of product issues and to feed information into the MS design team determining and implementing appropriate containment actions e.g.
Stop ShipCommunicate and collaborate with members of the Global Design Quality Assurance Team on issues, ensuring that issues impacting successful design reviews and product releases are identified, communicated, and addressed with the appropriate individuals or teams.Provide interpretation and guidance on industry best practice and state of art for design assurance activities.
Work with global Design Quality Assurance peers and Product Development stakeholders to identify and develop improved or harmonised Product Development processes/systems and drive implementation within the relevant development areas.
Qualifications Education in one of the following areas:Engineering/ Physical Science degreeHND level, proven relevant experience in an Engineering/Science related functionSignificant proven experience within a regulated occupational environmentTo be successful experience in an area below Experience in product development of complex systems (mechanical, electrical, and software).Experience developing business processes and quality systems enhancements (product design through manufacturing) in an industry that has established quality standards or regulations desired.Working Knowledge and experience with ISO 9001 Mass Spec experience MS Field Service experienceOperational Build experienceReliability testing / evaluationWe're actively building diverse teams and welcome applications from everyone.
