Cardiac Physiologist - Senior Grade with expertise in Echocardiography We are currently recruiting for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist with expertise in Echocardiography to join our team at Mater Private Cork to work with a growing team of Cardiologists to further develop the service.
The Heart and Vascular Department provides a full range of cardiac non-invasive and invasive investigations and treatments including ECG, Exercise Stress Testing, Ambulatory Monitoring, Device follow up clinics, Transthoracic and Transoesophageal echo, Angiography, PCI, EP studies and ablation; Loop, Pacemaker and ICD Implants The successful candidate will work within with the multidisciplinary team in the Heart and Vascular Department providing expertise in ECG, ambulatory monitoring, transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography in clinic and Cath lab, Dobutimine Stress Echocardiograms and Exercise Stress Echo's.
The key responsibilities of a Senior Cardiac Physiologist are to manage their own clinic work load with efficiency and high quality.
Demonstrate support and staff supervision according to department demands.
Deliver mentorship to junior staff with active involvement in staff training.
Manage clinical leadership within echocardiography and non-invasive testing to a high standard according to department Policies and Procedures and internationally recognised guidelines.
Candidate Requirements 1. Applicants should have an up to date BSE ( British Society of Echocardiography) or (European Society of Cardiology) EACVI Accrediation.
2. Information on approved entry to practise qualifications can be found at https://iicmp.ie/approved-qualifications/ Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Clinical Measurement Science, Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Clinical Measurement Science, Technological University Dublin (TUD) Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology ( if qualified in or prior to 2005 ).
3. Have 3 years post qualification experience with at least 1 years Echo experience.
4. The successful candidate should possess good interpersonal skills and an awareness/sensitivity towards patient needs.
5. Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage a high volume workload.
6. An ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team 7. Strong communication skills.
