Electrical Design Engineer - Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy - Cork CityOffice/Project Location: Cork CityEmployment Type: PermanentWork Location: Office Based / HybridPay: €55k - €75k per yearExperience: 5+ yearsVisa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa requiredOur client is a leading multi-disciplinary Consulting Engineering Practice with offices throughout Ireland.They work on projects in the commercial, hotels, government, education & residential sectors.You must be proficient in designing electrical services including:Lighting designMV/LV MCC design including, SLD preparation, breaker sizing, etc.MV/LV cable sizingContainment sizingEmergency lighting design to current regulationsFire-alarm design to current regulationsPreparation of electrical designsChecking of electrical drawingsSite work, dealing with clients/electrical contractorsAttendance at site meetingsEstimating values of both completed works and where required approximatevalues of any additional worksSnag list preparation (of installed works)RequirementsLevel 8 degree or equivalent in electrical engineering/building services with a strongdesign engineering background, with 5+ years' experience.Working towards or Chartered Engineering status will be an advantage.Experience in working within client facing positions.Experience in the design of electrical services from concept to completion forprojects within healthcare, residential, education, commercial and industrial sectors.Good knowledge of all electrical/building services design guidelines, buildingregulations and relevant BS, IS and EN Standards.Some knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit MEP.Some knowledge of Lighting Design Software, such as Dialux or Lighting Reality.Some knowledge of electrical engineering design software suites such as Amtech.Fully conversant in current Irish Regulations e.g.
