They must have the ability to:
Technically evaluate electrical design documentation against Electrical and client standards.Create and issue electrical reports.Effectively use BIM360 / Navis as part of engineering activities.Redline documentation for site use.Develop cable schedules and construction work packs.Perform/validate cable size calculations (Trimble or other).Perform/validate containment capacity studies.Attend FATs and SATs.Identify equipment and materials which are long lead items.Identify value engineering (VE) opportunities.Provide technical expertise and support across complex problem-solving situations.Demonstrate knowledge of Electrical Standards and Systems, including but not limited to:Medium and Low Voltage NetworksElectrical Switchgear and Power DistributionInstrumentation and control systems (BMS/PAS/EAS/PMS)Containment Systems and applications (Ladder/Tray/Basket/Trunking/Hycon)Life Safety Systems (Fire Alarm/Disabled Refugee/Smoke Vent, etc.
)Security and Access ControlUPS SystemsEmergency Lighting and Central Battery SystemsGas DetectionData & ITEarthing and Lightning ProtectionCross System Electrical IntegrationImplement quality procedures and processes on a construction project, including:Technical submittalsFirst of KindsRFIsHost electrical workshops to advance design/construction issues.Candidate Key Skills Required: Electrical Engineering degree.Excellent communication skills - candidates must communicate and engage effectively with clients and team members.Ability to work autonomously and/or as part of a team.
