Senior Estimator / Estimating Manager

Senior Estimator/Estimating Manager On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator/Estimating Manager with a strong background in mechanical estimating to join their dynamic team.
This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are accurately costed, competitive, and profitable.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the entire tendering process from initiation to conclusion.
Compile precise and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner.
Ensure tenders are submitted and processed on time, follow up on tenders and documents, and record any feedback.
Issue tender queries and prepare tender reports.
Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors.
Oversee the maintenance of the cost database.
Build and maintain relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc.).
Stay informed of developments in the industry.
Participate in the development of procedures to ensure a high standard of quality control in the documents produced by the Estimating Department.
Manage and mentor members of the Estimating Team.
Desired Criteria: 4+ years of mechanical estimating experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and at least one widely used estimating platform.
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
Ability to identify potential risks on a project.
Motivated and highly dependable individual.
Excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.
A full driver's license is advantageous.
