Senior Financial Accountant Kildare, Kildare

This role will work closely with the Head of Finance, the Business Controller, the Heads of Departments, and the Finance team to manage the completion and timely reporting of all financial accounts with specific emphasis on month-end reporting.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesOverall responsibility for the journals and general ledger to ensure timely completion of month-end process.Ensure accurate capture of COGS in the manufacturing process to support Gross Margin analysis.Monthly review of overheads.Provide accurate month-end reports to support the management accounts process.Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts.Maintain Customer rebates and discounts.Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance.Contributing to the development of new accounting / ERP system, programs, and procedures.Assist in preparation of tax returns.Ad-hoc finance projects and perform other related duties as assigned.Support to the cash management process/preparation of rolling cash flow statement.Currency Maintenance.B-Corp: Embed B-Corp principles & values across the business and create a workplace culture dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal opportunities for all employees.The PersonQualified accountant from recognized accountancy body.Experience of working with ERP system is an advantage.Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP / IFRS.Proficient computer skills including MS Office; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.An appreciation of Information Systems, processes, and applications including Business Intelligence software.Core CompetenciesA passionate, positive, and personable individual, excited by a new challenge.Attention to detail with an analytical, problem-solving, and inquisitive nature.Strong business acumen and a refined commercial sense.Ability to work independently using own initiative but also in a team environment.Flexible and adaptable approach to tasks.Excellent analytical, organisational, and administrative skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written & verbal) with the ability to adapt to differing situations & audiences.Leinster Appointments is committed to providing a professional service where all CVs are kept confidential and will not be submitted to any third parties without candidate's knowledge or consent.
