We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join the Technical Accounting and Advisory team. This team is the Group's US GAAP and IFRS accounting and advisory function which partners and works with senior stakeholders across a range of Group functions and divisional offices and operations throughout the Globe to provide practical advice and solutions to complex accounting issues. This team is part of the Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting and Advisory function which is responsible for SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting and Advisory for the Group.

You will become a key member of the team, reporting to the Senior Manager – Technical Accounting and Advisory working with closely with colleagues around the Globe.
Major Responsibilities and Tasks of the Role: Perform accounting research and analysis of new transactions, business initiatives and new accounting pronouncements and document the appropriate accounting treatment Assist in the accounting and reporting of technical areas such as goodwill and intangibles, derivatives, pensions, share-based compensation, financing transactions, acquisitions and divestitures Assist in the coordination of the annual audit and quarterly review activities performed by the external auditors of SEC and statutory filings Maintain, document, and improve the company's US GAAP compliant accounting policies and procedures at global and divisional levels Assist in managing and monitoring global statutory financial statement filings under multiple accounting standards Review existing areas of critical accounting policies to ensure alignment among all divisions and deliver trainings as necessary Get involved in presenting accounting and US GAAP transition matters to a range of teams across the Group, Divisional and operating companies Assist with ad hoc requests and special projects including acquisition due diligence activities and integration of newly acquired businesses, including transitioning entities to US GAAP Key Skills, Experience & Requirements Qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent) Strong background and understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles, including preparation of financial statements. Technical accounting and advisory experience preferred Position will ideally suit new qualified accountant or accountant with up to 2 years PQE with experience in accounting advisory or with strong technical accounting skills Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to work well with all levels of leadership and departments within the company Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects in order to meet tight deadlines and produce high quality work Experience of HFM and web-based financial reporting applications an advantage Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications Works with integrity and can be trusted to work on projects of a confidential nature Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills Comfortable working both independently and in a team-environment Ability to travel up to 20% Europe and International as required APPLICATION DEADLINE All interested applicants should forward their curriculum vitae by 06th February 2024 to Miriam Williams (******).
