From this location, the Finance Shared Services provides processing and expertise, in local languages, to Abbott divisions and affiliate companies across EMEA. The core services are in Record to Report, Order to Cash, Source to Pay, and Master data management. The Financial Shared Services hub is part of Corporate Finance and has regional counterparts in the US and in Malaysia.
Position Summary A trusted Business Partner to our internal stakeholders and divisions.Ability to translate data from various sources into strategic business insights.The OTC Sr. Business Analyst is accountable for business unit reporting across the EMEA OTC portfolio. In this role, you will also assess the suitability and frequency of management reports and KPIs across EMEA. You will be responsible for training the team to provide insightful and meaningful business narrative, completed in collaboration with the manager responsible for reporting and analytics.OTC tower reports to the Business Units, Divisions, and sites, ensuring robust and standardized reporting reflecting OTC performance – DSO, past due analysis, cash forecasting, bad debt reserve, monthly operating reviews, etc.Maintaining a sustained continuous improvement mindset on opportunities presented through Business Analytics.Development and delivery of robust training programs that ensure the OTC end users understand the end-to-end OTC process, their role in the process, and the impacts of non-compliance with required processes in downstream processes and to our suppliers.Minimum Requirements BS degree related to Finance, Business, or Accounting.Qualified Accountant would be an added advantage; however, we would consider an individual who is part qualified with a few papers left for completion.Experience inclusive of all aspects of finance within a complex global organization.Reporting performance between multiple Divisional/BU reporting.FP&A background can be an advantage.Advanced Excel skills are essential for this role.Previous experience preparing presentations for Director level.French language would be an added advantage but not required for the role.Experienced in PowerBI Reporting.SAP, SharePoint, and other ERP experience required.Strong understanding of SAP Controlling organizational structure.Major Responsibilities Ensure all reports are issued as per target deadlines with high-quality narrative and business insights.Drive and manage improvements in the OTC business analytics reporting to ensure effective communication with the report recipients, meeting both Business and Hub requirements.Support the continued standardization of Business Unit and Divisional reporting, leveraging GPO data analytics initiatives.Prepare end-user training documentation to include high-level process documentation, process-based user guides, and job aids, leveraging and supplementing the existing system training guides.Provide guidance and feedback to the wider OTC team to help maximize potential and meet key accountabilities.Liaise with OTC Director and OTC Managers to ensure that reporting is consistent with the EMEA CFS Hub customer experience strategy.Take account of the change management required for the in-scope sites to maximize impact and success of the training delivery.Be a super user for PowerBI and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data, working with our outsource partner to enhance reporting.Identification and sharing of potential CI opportunities and findings arising from the business analytics information.Partner with RTR colleagues for assigned Month End close responsibilities.Ensure DTPs are completed, reviewed, and updated on a regular basis.Communication with BUs, stakeholders, and business partners regarding key performance indicators, initiatives, etc.Report on internal KPIs for the team, including status and highlighting risk areas to management.
