What you'll be doing...We have an immediate need for an experienced Hardware UX Designer to join our Hardware Experience Design team. You will be at the heart of innovation at Verizon Connect, designing solutions that meet current market needs and anticipate future trends in telematics and you will be joining an international design team of researchers, UX, Service, Content and Industrial Designers.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the IoT in the enterprise space. This role is also ideal for someone with a blend of Industrial Design and software UX experience. You will be designing physical and digital touchpoints and must be comfortable working in both.
Design intuitive, user friendly UIs for both digital products and physical devices.Design packaging and physical products.Collaborate with software/hardware engineers, product teams and suppliers to ensure designs are feasible and align with technical constraints and company objectives.Lead the process from concept through to production including sketching, prototyping, testing, and finalizing designs.Conduct user research and testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements, integrating new and exciting design methodologies into our processes.Conceptualise and work on innovative holistic design solutions for near and long term business opportunities.What we're looking for...You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field.Relevant experience in Industrial Design with a strong portfolio showcasing both digital and physical product design.Expertise in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or equivalent.Experience in UI/UX design for web and mobile applications.Physical prototyping.Problem framing and solving.Customer journey mapping.Even better if you have:
