Senior Health & Safety Advisor [Roi]

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team for our projects in the Munster region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all personnel on-site, as well as compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations. This is a key role where you will work closely with project managers, site teams, and senior leadership to implement, monitor, and enhance safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures tailored to the marine construction environment.Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits on-site, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.Ensure all projects comply with health and safety legislation, including relevant codes, standards, and regulations.Lead incident investigations and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.Provide expert advice and guidance to project managers, engineers, and site personnel on health and safety matters.Deliver training and toolbox talks to ensure all staff and contractors are aware of health and safety protocols and best practices.Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation, regulations, and company policies.Collaborate with regulatory bodies and represent the company during health and safety inspections.Maintain records of safety-related incidents, near misses, and safety training.Prepare and present detailed health and safety reports to senior management.Foster a positive health and safety culture within the project team and across the organisation.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety roles, with at least 8 years in a senior advisory capacity within the construction industry.In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and construction regulations.Proven track record of managing health and safety on large-scale construction projects.Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.Proven track record in incident investigation and report writing.Proficient in the use of health and safety management software and tools.Preferred Attributes:Leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor junior health and safety staff.Proactive approach with a strong focus on continuous improvement.Ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging environments.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Involvement in high-profile and impactful projects.Supportive and inclusive work environment.Career progression opportunities within the company.Apply now
