Position Summary: Our EPCMV business is growing, and we are recruiting leaders for our Dublin Office. This challenging position involves working as part of a multi-discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team focused on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and other state of the art manufacturing facilities. Projects for our clients include feasibility studies, long-range planning studies, and full design services including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and services during construction for design/bid/build and design/build projects.

The Senior Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer role is to provide Engineers support in design and construction of the I&C, Life Safety Systems (LSS) and telecoms equipment, plant, and factory management and distribution system.
Key Responsibilities: Be a senior engineer for the ATG group, progressing and controlling the design for Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems.Execute concept designs and preliminary engineering phases with other senior team members.Prepares engineering studies and schematic design for new systems and analyse operation of existing systems.Ability to progress the sequence of operation (SOO) development with other systems owners.Assist in the development of department systems, procedures, standards and knowledge management.Develop, organize and control systems, innovate and deliver plant improvements for the Engineering team and for our clients.Provide and progress plant design activities as an area/system promoter and coordinate with multi-discipline designers.Perform I&C design work across several engineering disciplines in 2D/3D integrated design systems.Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and vendor bid evaluations.Assist in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets for projects.Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.Size and specify instruments and produce datasheets and instrument lists and cable schedules.Develop control system architecture.Panel design for control systems.Update P&ID's with controls content.Produce control system philosophy with input from other disciplines as required.Provide technical backup to the operations design teams in resolving specific complex process/plant problems.Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.Skills & Experience Required: 5+ Years' experience with Third level degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.Semiconductor experience preferable, large scale industrial, instrument selection/sizing, automation platforms, chemical delivery systems.General knowledge of electrical system design, applicable codes and wiring regulations.Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel).Strong relevant engineering/design experience in industrial/advanced technology sector.Engineering/design experience in the I&C systems.Excellent English level – written and spoken.Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.Experience with MCC and VFD control requirements.Familiarity and understanding of ATEX requirements.Other: Ability to travel to client meetings, presentations, conferences nationally and internationally; Working hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday.DPS Engineering Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
