What is the opportunity? This role offers the opportunity to be exposed to the vast array of technologies required to run the Bank of Ireland including established systems and the newest technologies as the bank moves towards its digital transformation.

It gives the right person the exposure to aspects of the wider information security as the team is involved in all IT changes to the bank systems, and the supporting analysis required, identifying, reporting and supporting these changes.

In this Role, you will Carry out objective assessments of the security aspects of a current or proposed solution to:

Identify all relevant Information Security components. Identify all designed controls and control gaps. Identify and document where the design introduces risk to Bank of Ireland or compounds an existing risk. Ensure that the documented solution provides appropriate controls which are aligned to the business's control requirements for the data assets being protected. Assess firewall change requests to ensure that each change or series of changes to firewalls is appropriate. Assess, examine and report on the appropriateness of the security controls implemented and driven by web-based solutions involving Bank of Ireland data. Conduct Security Supplier Due Diligence assessments of 3rd Parties hosting, accessing or processing Group Data. What will make you stand out? You will be a Subject Matter Expert in key Information Security control domains, with good knowledge of risk control frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.

Having a deep technical knowledge across various hardware and software applications, with a focus on cloud-based technologies will make you stand out!

Being able to bridge the gap between technical and business knowledge would also be advantageous, along with the ability to work within the team handling business partners.

Essential Qualifications Must have passed the CISSP exam.

This is a hybrid onsite role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as ITC, Cabinteely, Dublin 18. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
