The Senior Internal Communications Manager will report into the Chief People Officer and will be accountable for setting and executing the Internal Communications Strategy. The ideal candidate will excel in managing change communications, people projects and key initiatives, with a strong focus on enhancing employee communications and colleague experience. This role supports the People Strategy and Corporate Strategy, and aligns with ICT strategy, and EDI strategy, shaping the culture of our organisation and leaving a lasting impact on talent engagement and strategic communications.
Principal Accountabilities: Lead the design, development and implementation of comprehensive internal communication strategies.Lead the Internal Communications team.Provide internal communications counsel to senior management across the NTMA.Lead the delivery of content for organisational events such as Townhalls and key reports, including the Annual Report and Gender Pay Gap Report.Monitor the effectiveness of Internal Communications initiatives and channels through data analysis and respond to employee feedback, adjusting communications approach accordingly.Manage the internal communication response to crisis situations affecting organisational perception and reputation.Manage the ownership and procurement of key internal communication platforms, channels, and technology.Oversee change communications for People Function projects and other major initiatives.Collaborate closely with People Function teams to enhance employee experience.Partner and align messaging of internal and external communications.Develop and manage the Internal Communications budget.Lead and manage ad hoc projects as assigned by the Chief People Officer.Experience/ Skills required for the role: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.Specialist internal communications and/or change management education/experience is a major advantage.8+ years of experience in internal/employee communications.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong analytical skills to measure and report on communication effectiveness.Experience or education in inclusive language or inclusive communications.Writing skills: excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills is imperative.Communication skills: strong communication and relationship-building skills.Creative skills: ability to devise communication strategies, particularly with a digital-first approach.Attention to detail: keen eye for accuracy and precision in all tasks.Experience in the public sector or financial services industry is highly desirable.The NTMA is proud to be an equal opportunities employer.
