Limerick and District Credit Union is currently recruiting for the role of Senior IT Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role as a member of our growing team. This full-time and permanent position reports directly to the CEO.
The Senior IT Manager will own and drive the IT infrastructure and all related aspects of the business. The successful candidate will be a people person, driving the day to day IT aspect against operational needs, ensuring the highest standards are met for our very valued members around this hands-on experienced senior IT manager role.
This role is responsible for managing IT projects, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives. The Senior IT Manager proactively influences outcomes and contributes to the execution of strategic plan priorities, inherent to this role, and effectively coordinates and drives various IT projects to their successful completion.
Job DescriptionSteer, develop and execute the strategic technology roadmap.Work with vendors in the procurement and maintenance of IT products and services.Manage all IT security aspects of this business.Identify and eliminate weaknesses, analyse and improve efficiency, increase transparency and knowledge in relation to operational and technological business decisions.Manage the office IT services.Ensure all Governance - audit, validation, compliance and regulatory requirements are in place and met as it relates to this role.Prepare and maintain appropriate procedures and policies.Research, evaluate and action existing and emerging technologies.Balance technological and capacity resources to the credit union and members' needs.Ensure all technology practices adhere to regulatory and security standards.RequirementsThe candidate must have a related qualification against this IT role.At least 5 years' relevant experience within the information technology field or an industry with reliance on technical expertise.A minimum of 3+ years' managerial experience.Strong skills in people management, leadership, IT and strategic implementation.High level of competence in solution-based problem resolution.Proven experience in managing program budgets and IT costs in large business environments to ensure targets are met.Alignment to the ethos of the credit union.Confidential EnquiryTo have a confidential discussion about this opportunity, please call Joan FitzGerald on +353 (87) 389 9081.
