The Opportunity:
We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Senior Lead Analyst who has a key role within the Operations Development and Compliance Team in relation to management of change to the Market Codes to deliver on the pipeline of change arising from Regulatory and Legislative decisions as well as industry, strategic programmes and other necessary modifications.
As Senior Lead Analyst, your responsibilities will jointly lead the Trading and Settlement Code (TSC) modifications process, represent the Market Operator on the TSC Modifications Committee, lead the development of modifications to the TSC which supports better outcomes for the island's wholesale electricity market, and provide market analysis and thought leadership expertise. The role holder will also facilitate the Capacity Market Code in a similar manner.
The Team:
The Operations and Asset Management Office is central to the delivery of our primary role – the operation, development and enhancement of the all-island power system and the wholesale electricity market. The Office is also responsible for the sustainable implementation of transmission system and market development to meet the future needs of all users of electricity.
The Operations, Development and Compliance function within the Operations and Asset Management Office is responsible for the management and evolution of key operational Codes, including the Grid Code and Market Codes, to meet strategic objectives while maintaining the integrity of the Codes and operational resilience.
About You:
Successful candidates will have:
A relevant third-level degree with a minimum of 6+ years' experience.Strong technical skills and knowledge of the electricity markets power system.Understanding of the SEM market design and Balancing Market Principles Statement.Experience in a multidisciplinary environment and excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical abilities, coupled with the ability to make reasoned judgements based on available information.Closing Date for Applications:
