About this role: As a Senior Logistics Analyst (Defined-Term, 12 Months) you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and routing inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments of freight, using knowledge of postal regulations, tariffs, and company policy. You will coordinate with carriers, audit freight bills, and select or recommend carriers to ensure efficient, timely, and least expensive movements of goods and materials. You will maintain compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products, conduct research on transportation methods, rates, and routes, develop programs to audit and monitor carrier rates and charges, and evaluate past performance and cost of shipping routes.
Responsibilities: Utilizing analytical methods and tools to understand, predict, and control logistics operations and processes.Developing and implementing strategies that improve the efficiency of the supply chain.Conducting analysis of alternate methods of transportation and programs, along with projected cost and service improvements.Assisting in developing long-term logistics strategies for Boston Scientific.Analyzing current logistical capabilities and recommending future logistical strategies based on BSC's future needs.Identifying cost-saving opportunities within the logistics chain.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize logistics processes.Reviewing, coordinating, and writing freight vendor contracts for legal review and approval to establish a list of well-suited freight vendors.Performing analysis, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions utilizing transportation carrier and related information.Preparing reports and presenting findings to management.Collecting data through needs surveys and carriers' service history and analyzing it to identify efficiencies and inefficiencies to develop cost-reduction plans.Collecting shipping data from the computer systems and log sheets to compile the monthly Freight Cost Analysis report for management's review.Qualifications: Honours Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.Experience with data analysis, modelling tools & ERP Systems.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience in transportation, warehouse, or inventory management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with lean management and continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent project management skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.Requisition ID: 592391
