Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, the successful candidate will take ownership of the Credit Risk Management Policy, overseeing all frameworks and governance relating to credit risk. Responsibilities: Oversee Second Line of Defense (2LOD) responsibilities for credit risk activities, including reviewing and challenging counterparty onboarding, approvals, and limit allocation, ensuring all decisions are well documented.Lead internal rating determinations, interim and annual credit reviews, and ensure 2LOD involvement in initial approvals, ongoing reviews, and decision-making processes for credit papers.Ensure Credit Risk Management Policy aligns with regulatory guidance, and continuously review and develop the policy and supporting standards/processes.Provide leadership in risk management, supporting the CRO in setting credit risk appetite and limits, and overseeing stress testing scenarios and risk limit calibration.Engage in business discussions to assess risks, promote sound risk culture, and ensure adherence to Risk Policies and Board-mandated authority limits.Define risk service requirements through the company's outsourcing framework and represent the company in key industry events and associations.Requirements: Strong expertise in domestic and international investment, capital markets, and financial markets, with both practical and theoretical knowledge.In-depth understanding and application of credit risk theories, models, and practices, along with knowledge of relevant legal policies, regulations, and risk management frameworks.Comprehensive understanding of global and national economic forces, the company's legal/regulatory environment, corporate governance, business strategy, and operational structure.Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders.Experience leading and managing risk analysts and junior management teams.Demonstrated high integrity, professionalism, and alignment with the bank's cultural and ethical standards, capable of handling conflict and complex responsibilities.How to Apply: For further information on this job opportunity please apply via this link with your updated CV to Camden Recruitment.
