Our Engineering team is looking for the right teammate to support the start-up of our first European manufacturing site in Athenry. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will manage all equipment sustaining and scale-up engineering activities, lead and develop the engineering team. You will solve complex performance and operational issues to improve manufacturing processes and oversee equipment installation, improvement, production, and testing of product and processes.
Where you come in: You will manage and supervise resources in mechanical engineering, automation practices, equipment scale-up and installation, safety practices, product transfer, and equipment improvement to enhance product quality, decrease cost, and improve manufacturing efficiencies.You will resolve escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.You will check technical accuracy of work, oversee all equipment-related technical details for manufacturing, and review methods used to estimate future manufacturing requirements, production, and field performance data.You will provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.You will give input into developing the budget.You will take responsibility for the training and mentoring of the Engineering Team.What makes you successful: Proven track record in commercialization and manufacture of high volume and/or complexity and management of equipment used therein.You have a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment across multiple functional groups.You are able to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects and conflicting priorities.Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with 13+ years of industry experience.5-8 years of previous people management experience.You have experience in Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma.You have excellent team-oriented communication and organizational skills.What you'll get: A front row seat to life-changing CGM technology.
