Job Function The Associate Director for Purchasing and Inventory will lead and oversee the procurement and inventory control functions to ensure the seamless supply of materials and products on the Cruiserath Campus. This role involves developing and implementing and continually improving purchasing processes, optimizing inventory levels. The Associate Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production schedules, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This position requires strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills to effectively manage the purchasing and inventory management processes for the Cruiserath Campus.

Responsibilities Accountable for leading the buyer/planner, inventory management, and customer planning teams for the Cruiserath Campus and provide guidance and support to ensure development of a high performing team. Work closely with cross functional teams in BMS to ensure teams to align purchasing and inventory activities with production schedules. Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory. Implement and monitor inventory management systems and procedures. Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy. Coordinate with finance and accounting departments to manage budgets and financial reporting related to procurement and inventory. Accountable for the delivery of budget process for Supply Chain on an annual cycle. Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement and inventory management processes. Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to optimize supply chain efficiency. Analyse data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Conduct training sessions for team members on procurement and inventory management procedures and systems. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability. Accountable for the development and performance of purchasing KPIs and analytics in line with BMS digital strategy. Required Competencies Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities against ambitious timelines. Strong project management ability. Works well in a team environment. Ability to manage and motivate a dynamic team. Excellent math and computer skills required, including general Microsoft Office. Good knowledge of computerized production and inventory control systems (SAP) as well as manufacturing execution systems (MES), QMS and documentation practices. Exceptional communication skills and ability to communicate to multiple levels within the company. Required Qualification(s) and Desired Experience B.S in Supply Chain Management, Business or Science related discipline. A master's degree is a plus. A minimum of 7-10 years' experience in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain role with experience in Production, Planning, Scheduling, and Inventory Control. Experience and knowledge in Biologics Manufacturing is preferred. Knowledgeable on current data management techniques. Experience in finite scheduling and scenario tools (for example RTMS, Rapid Response). Relevant industry certifications are desirable (APICS – CSCP/CPIM).
