Main Purpose and Objectives of Position: The Clinical Supply & Delivery (CSD) function is accountable for partnering with drug development teams, clinical, CM&C, and the broader Clinical Supply and Delivery Organization to enable innovative supply chain solutions and speed the delivery of clinical trial materials for patients.
This is accomplished by planning and scheduling via a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system (SAP).
The Senior Manager, Molecule Planning serves as business contact and supervisor of a team of Molecule Planner associates responsible for supporting cross-functional CT Material Operations teams.
Responsibilities include defining business processes, identifying and driving improvements, governing execution of the business processes, and ensuring the tools and organization are capable.
Successful candidates will be able to effectively lead a team and apply deep technical understanding to meeting the needs of the business.
They will also be able to influence across functions and geographies and at multiple levels within the organization.
The position provides supervision, governance and direction for the CSD Molecule Planner Associates and ensures development of effective supply plans and robust NDP (New Drug Product) supply.
Key Objectives/Deliverables: Administration and DevelopmentThe Senior Manager, Planning and Commercial Product will be responsible for ensuring robust performance management, development, and succession management plans are in place for each employee.
As a supervisor, will set direction and objectives for direct reports that align with the objectives of the business.Develop and prioritize continuous improvement plan for business process and tools, including establishment of Operational Excellence best practices.Establish, implement, and oversee robust supply planning processes.Establish effective user communication processes and participate in appropriate Integrated Services related activities and governance.Ensure best practices are shared.Participate in projects where expertise is required.
Lead and/or oversee projects related to master data process improvements.Involved in all aspects of supply planning for compliance and networks with other organizations to ensure effectiveness.Maintain ownership and emphasis on quality, ensuring quality in all daily activities.Recognized subject-matter-expert in all supply planning business process and tools (e.g., SAP).Basic Requirements: Bachelor's Degree.Technical/Operational Knowledge – Deep knowledge of SAP (S/4 Hana), Understanding of relationships and contacts where supply plans/processes impact demand realization, valuation, and control.Strong People Management & Leadership Skills.Self-motivated professional with excellent customer service and strong working/team building relationship skills.Proven interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of an organization.Demonstrates good judgment and is solution-oriented.Ability to set and drive priorities for the team independently.Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.Attentive to details to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.Experience of working to tight deadlines.Flexibility in adapting to a non-routine and fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills.Additional Preferences: Supply Chain Knowledge – APICS certification, experience preferred.Previous site experience in supply chain.Language skills.Knowledge of SAP and planning processes in a pharmaceutical environment.Strong international network.Understanding of current Supply Planning best practices and status throughout the world.Recognized as a credible and dependable resource.Other Information: Work shift: Full time, normal work shift.Travel required (% of time) – 10%.
