Spearheading the growth strategy for the organic portfolio and new product launches, this role drives commercialization efforts while ensuring seamless integration with operational functions.
Developing and coaching highly skilled portfolio teams, this person will drive organizational alignment and directs overall portfolio strategy for growth as part of the combined Food Safety team.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Manages the global intensive portfolios P&L to drive profitable growth through innovation, market expansion, pricing and programs based on market and customer insights and dataPartners closely with cross-functional senior leaders (Sales, Marketing, R&D, manufacturing, quality) to gain organizational support and alignment of core competencies and priorities for portfolio growthManages global range of products, ensuring that product offerings are effectively positioned in each marketEnsures clear value proposition, brand strategy and sub-brand for portfolio offeringsDirects input for intensive categories as part of the Neogen strategic planOversees and works with multiple projects and manages shared resources, such as budgets or teams.Product team leadershipTalent: Ensures pipeline of relevant marketing talent, develops and coaches product teams to elevate contributions, engages and inspires teamChampions portfolio internally at all levels of organization, acts as external portfolio champion with customers, senior industry experts and external bodiesManages portfolio team to meet portfolio objectives, supports team in achieving portfolio goals and objectivesCommunicates annual OKRs and goals, conducts annual performance reviews, and individual development plans for direct reportsCollaborate with the regional teams in the hiring, onboarding and developing the regional marketing org.Organizational alignmentLeads Regional reviews, planning & meetings, regional portfolio coordination & global business direction for innovation, operational needs.
Knowledge, skills and experience required includes:Advanced degree in relevant marketing, business or scientific discipline or equivalent experience7-10 years of work industry experience in microbiology, life sciences or equivalent product management, product marketing.Ability to understand technologies such as molecular methods, culture media, ELISA, etc in order to build a strategy that meets market needs.Strong background and experience in Marketing, Strategy development, Market Sizing and Analysis, NPI, Commercialisation, strong focus on understanding and meeting customer needs.Experience leading innovation acceleration and/or high-growth projects globally.Engaging and inspiring leadership skills with proven ability to elevate contributions and impact of teams.
Experience in leading, supporting, guiding and motivating multi-level experienced team members.Superior communication and influencing skills, collaborative and team oriented.
