Job Title: Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor
Location: Pharmaceutical Project, Dublin

About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major pharmaceutical project in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-profile, complex project where precision and quality are paramount. You will lead the cost management of mechanical works, ensuring that all financial aspects of the project are tightly controlled from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the preparation and submission of accurate cost estimates, budgets, bills of quantities, and tender documents for mechanical packages.Oversee the financial performance of the mechanical scope, including HVAC, process piping, and other critical systems.Conduct cost reviews, valuations, and reconciliations, ensuring all costs are tracked and accounted for in real-time.Lead the negotiation and administration of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.Evaluate and manage variations, claims, and final accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to project stakeholders.Ensure all work complies with contractual obligations, project timelines, and health, safety, and environmental regulations.Attend and lead cost-related meetings with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on financial matters.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior quantity surveyors on the project.Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.7+ years of experience in quantity surveying with a focus on mechanical packages in large-scale construction projects, ideally within the pharmaceutical sector.Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, process piping, and equipment installations in high-spec environments.Strong contractual and commercial acumen with experience managing complex projects.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in cost management software and tools.What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package.The chance to work on a prestigious, mission-critical pharmaceutical project.A dynamic work environment with a strong focus on professional development.Opportunities for career advancement within a leading construction company.Relocation support for candidates outside of Dublin.
