What you'll doJob Description / Capsule Field-based position responsible for implementation of activities for establishment of scientific leadership of AstraZeneca. This includes development and enhancement of professional relationships with healthcare professionals, building deep scientific understanding of AstraZeneca compounds. Driving positive opinions for the scientific and clinical value of AZ compounds for patients' needs. Deliver medical education and clinical support to medical professionals, training sales teams and involvement in development of brand strategy.
ResponsibilitiesExternal Medical & Scientific engagementBuild and maintain engagement with scientific leaders (KEEs) - 65% of time in field engaging HCPs and external stakeholders across territory and brands.Identify HCPs with high levels of scientific expertise for collaboration on specific medico marketing activities.Develop and implement KEEs engagement plan in collaboration with line manager and TA lead.Provide scientific updates and information to KEEs.Build and maintain trust-based relationships with external stakeholdersBuild AZ relationship with key external stakeholders.Act as scientific expert in the disease area(s) by presenting therapeutic updates.Develop or initiate scientific programsWork with HCPs in scientific activities that help advance disease understanding.Medical & Scientific Support for internal stakeholdersContinuously acquire and update necessary scientific knowledge.Provide the AZ internal stakeholders with an understanding of the local medical community.Personal DevelopmentContinuously demonstrate development of scientific expertise.ComplianceAdhere to relevant company and industry code of conduct.Education, Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceEssential Bachelor's Degree or working towards a professional qualification.Thorough knowledge or experience of the pharmaceutical industry.Ability to interact and manage a range of stakeholders.Knowledge of legislation relevant to pharmaceutical sales and marketing.Desirable Advanced scientific degree.Understanding of multiple aspects within Medical Liaisons.Project and team management experience.Why AstraZeneca?Be bold and make a powerful impact: AstraZeneca is a world-leading business where standards are high and challenges complex.
