Senior Or Head Registered Veterinary Nurse

Our client is seeking a Senior or Head RVN to work in their clinic 15 min from Galway city. This is a full-time position.

They have a wide array of top-of-the-range equipment and services in their practice to continue their well-established standard of care for their patients and clients. These include:

Well-resourced consulting rooms & dedicated operating theatres Excellent anaesthetic maintenance & monitoring systems In-house blood analysers & high-quality light microscopy Ultrasound, ECG, & ocular tonometry Air-driven dentistry & dental x-ray Digital radiography A brand-new state-of-the-art CT being installed in Winter 2023 The clinic has a highly skilled veterinary team, including 9 veterinary surgeons, 11 veterinary nurses, 3 receptionists, and a practice manager. Their vets have a range of experience levels, from new graduates to certificate holders (surgery, medicine, anaesthesia, emergency, and critical care).

They strongly encourage professional development and advocate for a supportive learning environment, especially for new graduate veterinarians looking to take their first steps into the veterinary profession.

The Role This is a full-time, permanent position of 36 to 40 hours per week, typically over 4-5 days per week.

Shift patterns include 8-5, 9-6, 9:30 - 6:30. Saturdays 1:4 either 9-1 or 9-5. No Sundays/Bank Holidays or out-of-hours. The main duties and responsibilities for this position include ensuring a working nurse roster, clinical nursing, client-facing roles such as nurse clinics and reception management, overseeing clinical standards, organizing nurse meetings, and feeding back to the team.

Salary for this role is up to €40,500 + benefits commensurate with experience.
