The purpose of this post is to play a key role in the ongoing work of the MN-CMS electronic healthcare record, working as part of the NMH Pharmacy Team and supporting the National MN-CMS Medications Work stream to deliver a project that aims to establish a data analytics approach to monitoring uptake of a new therapeutic agent.
What you'll be doing: Maintain a current and in-depth knowledge of MN-CMS and associated medication related functionality.Support the development and expansion of MN-CMS system functionality and Clinical Decision Support, optimising the system to enhance medication safety and patient care for Irish maternity services.Play an integral, collaborative role in the local MN-CMS Back Office team, managing and advising on MN-CMS medication related issues.Optimise the ongoing development and implementation of the MN-CMS system to ensure safe and effective use of medicines.Collaborate with the national clinical informatics pharmacists and with clinical informatics pharmacists assigned to the MN-CMS project in other sites, to check and verify all data being uploaded on to the system to ensure accuracy and safety at all times.Reporting Relationship: Reporting relationship is to the Pharmacist Executive Manager at The Hospital. The National Medications Work stream Lead will support and provide direction on national issues.Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Plus any other duties deemed appropriate to the post.
