Senior/Principal Hydrogeologist

Details of the offer

We are excited to continue our growth journey in Ireland and Northern Ireland and we have exciting plans for expansion in 2024 and beyond.

Our expanding workload in groundwater resources and contaminated land-related work means that we are actively recruiting to support our growing team specialising in these areas. As such, we are now seeking a Senior to Principal Level Hydrogeologist to join us in Dublin or Belfast to support our operations across both Ireland and the UK.

This position offers the potential for experience in a wide range of interesting and challenging hydrogeological projects and the potential for strong career growth for an enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate.

You will provide expert technical advice on a diverse range of hydrogeological projects, including groundwater resource assessments, contamination investigations, and risk assessments. You will oversee project delivery from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards. You will communicate complex hydrogeological concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

You will form the first part of our environmental services team in Ireland and have the opportunity to get involved in building and mentoring a team across the island of Ireland as we grow.

ABOUT YOU Ideally you will have a Hydrogeology MSc or a PhD with solid post graduate experience of hydrogeology-related projects. You will have extensive experience with the regulatory, business and policy environment in which our clients operate, and have the capacity to communicate effectively with our clients.

You will have experience of field-based monitoring/sampling and drilling supervision; pumping test supervision and analysis; data analytics, scripting and numerical groundwater modelling; or geochemical modelling and hydrochemical analysis would be considered an advantage.

You will have skills in site activities, factual and interpretative reporting, data management and analysis and presentation of results. You will have high quality oral and written communications skills while strong presentation skills and a flexible attitude are also essential to work within our busy and dynamic team.
