Role Overview The Senior Process Engineer will take on a pivotal role in New Product Development (NPD), working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet critical healthcare needs. This position involves leading process design, technology advancement, and validation, as well as optimising processes for product development and supporting a world-class product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Lead and coach a team of engineers through complex technical challenges, guiding efforts in process design, technology development, and process characterisation. New Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute NPD requirements, bringing expertise in process validation (DV, OQ, PQ) and process characterisation to support product introduction. Innovative Solutions: Utilise Design of Experiments (DOE), engineering studies, and statistical tools to drive process optimisation, quality improvement, and product reliability. Advanced Technology Implementation: Identify and mitigate technology risks, integrating cutting-edge solutions such as 3D printing, Augmented Reality, and automated systems to develop innovative and scalable processes. Project and Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships and lead project initiatives, ensuring smooth and timely execution of NPD milestones. Process Problem-Solving: Conduct root cause analysis, implement fixes, and present findings to stakeholders, championing a proactive approach to problem-solving using Six Sigma tools. What the Ideal Candidate Brings Educational Background: Bachelor's degree (Level 8 or higher) in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline. Technical Expertise: Strong experience with electro-mechanical device design and development, including a deep understanding of product and process design. Problem Solving and Innovation Skills: Proven capability to analyse and resolve technical challenges through structured problem-solving, with a focus on quality and reducing variability. Statistical Proficiency: Advanced understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical methods for process improvement. Communication Skills: Excellent organisational, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and effectively share insights. Project Management Ability: Proficient in managing projects, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
