Senior Process Engineer (Ireland)

Senior Process Engineer – Contract – Berkshire Location: Berkshire This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Renewable Energy and Nuclear sectors.
The role will be site based, but part of the projects team, focussing on project deliverables.
This role is deemed outside IR35.
Role & Responsibilities * Develop the scope of work / basis of design for studies and projects.
* Undertake and checking of process calculations.
* Preparation and checking of process deliverables – PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, process descriptions, philosophies and narratives.
* Supporting the project during FEED and detailed design stages.
* Perform safety related calculations and provide input to safety reviews – What If, Hazop SIL Assessment, etc.
* Utilise process simulation software as required for the development of process deliverables.
* Attend in-house and site-based meetings / reviews with clients.
* Undertake short and long-term business travel in support of studies, projects and consultancy.
Key Skills & Knowledge * Degree in Chemical Engineering essential, chartered status desired but not essential.
* Previously worked on design projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem, or Renewable Energy industries.
* Onshore experience in refinery, petrochem or LNG projects highly beneficial.
* Experience in relevant design standards and protocols.
* Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
