Job DescriptionOur client provides mechanical and electrical consultancy services to the residential, commercial, micro-electronic, healthcare, municipal, educational, sports & leisure, high tech and pharmaceutical sectors.As a Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer, you will work within the residential and commercial sectors.
Have a thorough grasp of electrical design and engineering techniques.
With a confidence in working independently and in support of the team, ensuring successful completion of designs to meet construction timelines and requirements.Lead the Electrical Services design for a range of projectsDesign and specification of electrical services for various types of buildings and sectorsProduce detailed schematicsDevelop the electrical design standards within the organisationMentor junior engineering staffProvide fully detailed tender packages and monitor installation/quality on site until project completionTender report/analysis/recommendationsDevelop project scope with the design team/clientConfidently use Microsoft Office, Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, and REVITProduce budgets and reports for clientsAttend site visitsTake lead on projects with minimal input from the management teamRequirementsHonours Degree – Chartered an advantage but not essential10+ years as a Senior EngineerIn-depth knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniquesDeep knowledge of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS and EN StandardsWorking knowledge of Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT an advantageConfident leading projects from the concept stage to completionCommunicative and able to liaise with clients, architects, and project managersManage the specification and design of Electrical Building Services systems for a range of projectsExcellent Microsoft Office skillsPackage€65k - €75k salary negotiable depending on candidates experience and backgroundFlexible working times20 Days holidays up to 25 daysPension SchemeWorking travel out-of-pocket expensesTravel tax scheme or bike-to-work schemeRegular training/mentoring / further college supportSupport for ChartershipSubsidised Health Insurance AllowanceA Professional Subscription Fee paid by the companyPaid Statutory LeavesHealthcare check-ups and flu vaccinationsGym / Fitness membershipHeavily subsidised social committee (5 a side, golf society, climbing club and regular social events)
