Job DescriptionOur client is a well-established contractor with a proven track record in the successful completion of a wide variety of projects.
They are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to to prepare, coordinate, and monitor a new residential project, based in Co Meath, from initial planning through to final completion.The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently and within a team, have strong communication skills, and have strong leadership qualities.Working knowledge and understanding of typical contract documents (including, plans, specifications and applicable standards).Responsible for communications of information amongst the site project team members and interface with the wider team.Establish and maintain procedures with, consultants, client and subcontractors for information flow, approvals (RFI & Submittals), meetings, and reporting.Prepare a detailed contract items list including all significant items including major material and equipment required for the construction of the project.Develop, monitor and update a submittal register with subcontractors ensuring overall compliance with the construction schedule.Develop, monitor and update a procurement schedule ensuring overall compliance with the construction schedule.Responsible for the calibration of surveying equipment.Conduct construction document reviews and examine all documents for constructability, coordination, and execution.
Bring all concerns to the attention of the design team for resolution using RFI process.Manage subcontractor's submittal and RFI submission from development to approval by the design team.Schedule, conduct, attend and document all job meetings, Client/ Design meeting and coordination meetings.Operate and maintain the company Safety & Quality Management Systems to the highest possible standard achievable.Maintain communication and interface with site teams, to ensure works are compliant with the approval requirements of external utilities providersManage project close -out, including all BCAR compliance documentation, as built documentation and relevant information for handover to the statutory Utility Bodies / Design Team / Client for approval.RequirementsDegree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar.5+years plus experienceFamiliar with working to Irish Standards for the various external utility providers.Experience in Residential Construction Project Management preferredGood Planning and Problem solving skillsManaging teams (direct and indirect)Competent in Technical SubmittalsCompetent in AutoCADPackageCompetitive Salary package negotiable dependent on candidates experience and qualifications
