PE Global are currently working with Corks leading Electrical Engineering Organisation to recruit a Senior Project Manager to join the team. This is a full time, perm role. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of large-scale electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in electrical contracting and project management, capable of driving projects from conception through to completion while managing a diverse team of professionals. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage multiple large-scale electrical construction projects simultaneously, from initial planning through to completion. Supervise, mentor, and motivate project teams, including electricians, subcontractors, and support staff, to ensure high performance and adherence to project goals. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations. Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures to ensure financial efficiency and project profitability. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure all projects comply with relevant health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and promoting a safety-first culture. Monitor project progress and quality, addressing any issues or deviations from plans promptly to ensure the highest standards of workmanship. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions. Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and financial performance. Key Requirements: Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the electrical contracting industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A relevant masters degree is a plus. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent. Safe Pass certification required. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD). Strong understanding of electrical systems and installations. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage large teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and liaise effectively with all project stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
