We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Prosthetist to join our team at Mercy Hospital in Cork.

In this pivotal role, you will represent OPCARE, a member of the AM Healthcare Group, in a strategic partnership with the National Rehabilitation Hospital, working closely within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) environment to deliver exceptional patient care.
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Orthotist/Prosthetist who is looking for an opportunity to develop their career and be a part of our large and dynamic team in Mercy Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
Some of the key responsibilities the role holder will have responsibility for:
• Patient Care: Provide expert prosthetic care to a diverse patient population, ensuring the highest standards of clinical service.
• Clinical Leadership: Educate other clinical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
• Collaboration: Engage actively within an MDT, building strong relationships with partners at Mercy Hospital and collaborating with OPCARE colleagues in Dublin to ensure smooth operational outcomes.
• Innovation: Stay at the forefront of prosthetic technology, particularly 3D printing, implementing new techniques and materials to improve patient outcomes.
• Partnership: Act as a key representative of OPCARE in our strategic alliance with the National Rehabilitation Hospital.
The role will be instrumental in helping to develop and implement service improvements for the betterment of patients in Mercy Hospital.
The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and busy team and be supported with local, regional, and national training to develop their clinical skills to support the service.
We aim to deliver a first-class service for users whilst applying the most advanced and exciting clinical and technical solutions available to patients.
Qualifications:
• A strong clinical skillset with a proven track record in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Experience working within an MDT environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and patient care.
• Open to applicants with varying levels of experience, with a preference for candidates with 4 or more years in prosthetics but consideration given to those with fewer years who demonstrate strong potential.
