PICO (formerly Corvil Ltd) is expanding its test engineering team which is responsible for ensuring the quality of its high performance, real-time analytics products, utilizing the latest software and hardware technologies. This team delivers innovative, automated testing solutions to verify the accuracy, performance, functionality, stress, resilience and use case validation of the company's products.
Working from our Krakow office you will be working in a team that are passionate about quality. Working in our agile team you will be responsible for designing comprehensive functional testing and system testing strategies along with playing a key role in automating developed tests, using in-house automation test framework, to ensure our industry leading product is high quality.
Role Description The successful applicant will have 4+ years of test engineering experience, preferably dealing with enterprise products based on Linux, and have a good working knowledge of network technologies and scripting languages. Working experience in setting up network lab environments is necessary.
Responsibilities Lead the test effort of our tactical monthly releases from planning to execution and delivery. Ensure the quality of Corvil Plug-ins for a wide range of network protocols. Working within an agile software development lifecycle to test new product features. Designing test strategies using Test/QA best practice. Using scripting and programming skills to develop automation that reduces manual test effort. Requirements BSc. in Computer Science or related discipline. 4+ years relevant industry experience. Excellent manual and exploratory testing and troubleshooting skills. In depth knowledge of networking protocols L2-L7. Scripting ability in Python / Bash. Hands on experience working with Linux/unix environments. Analysis of specifications / creating test plans. Excellent verbal and written English-language communication skills. Desirable Hands-on experience with networking tools (e.g Wireshark/Tcpdump/Tcpreplay etc). Working knowledge of Packet Crafting tools (e.g. Scapy, Netcat, Wireshark's Pcap tools - editcap/mergecap). Knowledge/experience of Docker containers usage. Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP highly desirable. Exposure to performance, load and stress testing methodologies. Working Arrangements This is a Hybrid position with weekly time in the office with the flexibility of working from home. Though travel may be required from time to time, it is not expected to be regular or frequent. The role holder will be expected to work whatever hours are necessary for the performance of this role (recognizing that it involves multiple jurisdictions/geographies including but not limited to EMEA, USA and APAC).
