We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs and contracts for construction projects, working closely with project and development teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards for new developments and refurbishments of our properties across the continent in regions including London, Dublin, Berlin, Edinburgh, Paris, Venice and many more cities.

Annual Bonus, based on your contribution and impact Discounted rates for overnight stays for you, and your family and friends Refer and earn scheme if you successfully refer a friend to work with us TaxSaver commuter scheme (only applicable in Ireland) Cycle to work scheme- to support a healthy lifestyle and our planet (only applicable in Ireland/UK) Education Support to help you foster new skills, build confidence and flourish Volunteer days: 2 paid volunteer days per year to support causes in your local community EAP: Support for you and your family when you need it with our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Long service rewards What you can do for us Evaluate tenders and manage contracts Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and specifications Responsible for consulting services contracts and construction contract preparation and negotiation Developing and implementing strategies to manage costs and increase efficiency Perform risk, value management, and cost control Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks Prepare and analyse costings for tenders and evaluate tender returns Have worked with and be familar with the main forms of construction contracts (for works) and maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for new projects Understand the implications of health and safety regulations Monitor project progress and prepare reports for management and stakeholders including analysing and reporting costs at a Program (multiple project level) Work in collaboration with project managers, architects, engineers, and other project team members Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure best possible deals Provide support and guidance to junior staff members Contract administration including payment validation and certification, auditing contractors' costs, retention release and final accounts Input to change management process in conjunction with the Project Management Team Required Skills and Experience 10+ years of relevant experience in the construction industry in Ireland and/or abroad A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field Experience in building upgrade projects and programs Experience in large-scale development (hotel/apartments) or similar (retail) is preferred Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and construction law Excellent communication and negotiation skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Experience in using computerised estimating systems A professional, self-motivated, and results-driven approach Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary project/program management and technical team If you possess the ability to navigate through challenges with a blend of kindness and clarity, backed by data-driven decision-making skills, we'd love to hear from you!
