As the demand for specialized pharmaceutical infrastructure continues to rise, our client is looking to expand their team in Dublin with a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of critical facilities that play a key role in advancing the pharmaceutical industry. Role Description: In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive financial management of pharmaceutical construction projects. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards of quality and compliance. Your ability to navigate the complexities of regulated environments will be essential in achieving successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage detailed cost plans, budgets, and forecasts for pharmaceutical construction projects. Oversee procurement processes, ensuring that all contracts and purchases are aligned with budgetary constraints and project specifications. Manage valuations, variations, and final accounts, maintaining tight control over project finances. Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms. Ensure all financial aspects of the project comply with industry regulations and company standards. Provide financial reporting and analysis to project teams and stakeholders, offering insights to support decision-making. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and project managers, to ensure cost efficiency without compromising on quality or compliance. Support and mentor junior quantity surveyors, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline. At least 7-10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with significant experience in pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industries. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement strategies, and cost management practices in high-specification environments. Demonstrated ability to manage the financial aspects of large, complex projects effectively. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers. Familiarity with the regulatory requirements of the pharmaceutical industry.
