Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a knack for managing costs and ensuring the success of residential construction projects? Our client, a leading player in residential construction, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of cost control, ensuring projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for residential construction projects.Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions.Procure materials and subcontractors, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring quality standards are met.Analyse project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.Prepare and submit progress reports, valuations, and final accounts.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors within the team.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential construction sector.In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management techniques.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Membership or eligibility for membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS).Why Join Us: Joining our client's team means becoming part of a company that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
