Responsibilities : Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for the project.
Monitor and control project costs to ensure adherence to budgets.
Conduct cost analysis and produce cost reports.Prepare and manage contracts, including tender documentation and procurement processes.Assess and manage variations and claims.Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.Prepare regular financial reports, including cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete assessments.Provide accurate and timely financial information to project stakeholders.Identify and mitigate potential risks to the project's financial performance.Implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.Work closely with project managers, site managers, and other team members to ensure project success.Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, regulations, and specifications.Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain quality control.Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all project-related financial transactions and documentation.Prepare and present reports to senior management and clients.
Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.Proven experience in social housing development projects is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management.Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in relevant software and tools such as MS Office, CostX, or similar.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, SCSI) is an advantage.Salary:€80,000 (negotiable depending on experience), bonus scheme, plus additional benefits.How to Apply:If you are interested in this Senior Quantity Surveyor position, please apply via this job board, or alternatively, send an up-to-date CV to or call 087 116 6474.
