Senior R&D Engineer role

My client is an exciting start-up who is growing their R&D team and is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer with at least 5 years of industry experience.

As a Senior R&D Engineer, you will be a key member of the engineering team working within a multidisciplinary framework.
This role will be involved in technology advancement projects, including but not limited to exploring and investigating new device concepts and validating new technology, processes, and methods.

Key responsibilities: Prepare project plans, specifications, and schedules for product development.Drive projects and new technology development based on your previous experience of the phases of medical device development from concept to regulatory approval.Design, build, and document the development of novel technology.Design fixtures and models for proof-of-concept, and verification and validation testing.Develop, manage, and conduct tests to verify and validate new product designs.Identify and interact with vendors to develop and obtain engineering materials, processes, and equipment.Contribute to company Intellectual Property, evaluate patents for specific technology areas, and participate in patent filings.Develop and improve manufacturing processes for pilot production.To apply for the role of Senior R&D Engineer you must have: Minimum of 5 years' experience in the medical device industry and a hands-on approach.Familiarity with design control methods and experience in verification and validation testing to support medical device regulatory submissions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to others in different functions and at various levels.Ability to troubleshoot and/or fix R&D and manufacturing equipment.Proven ability to innovate, be it for product, process, or test method development.Commitment to ongoing personal development to improve technical and non-technical skillsets.
