At our Research & Development Department, we are dedicated to developing world-class medical devices. Our engineers play a crucial role in creating innovative products used in medical procedures worldwide. As a Senior R&D Program Manager, you will lead and guide a New Product Development team, driving strategic and tactical initiatives within the Peripheral Vascular Health Business Unit.

This business unit develops a range of transcatheter medical devices and treatment solutions for arterial and venous diseases, including Drug Coated Balloons, Stents, Embolization Therapies, and Deep Venous treatments.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 3-4 days per week onsite.

A Day in the Life: As the Senior R&D Program Manager, you will lead a high-performing, diverse team dedicated to success and passionate about fulfilling our mission: to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. Your responsibilities will include:

Core Team Leadership: You will serve as the Core Team Leader for key new product development projects, managing cross-functional teams to execute projects, including tasks such as project scoping, resource allocation, budget planning, risk mitigation, and stakeholder management. Problem Solving & Collaboration: Resolve issues through collaboration, influence, and persuasion, without direct authority, to ensure successful program execution. Team Leadership: Lead, guide, and review the work of experienced professionals and vendors who work with independence and flexibility on key projects. Team Development: Manage and motivate your team, including external vendors, to ensure successful project completion. Foster their growth and innovation. Project Management: Set program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets. Assign responsibilities and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively represent the company externally with customers and stakeholders. Staff Development: Ensure team members clearly understand expectations and performance standards, and foster innovation within the team. Collaboration: Build strong working relationships across functions, ensuring that R&D team members have the resources and information they need to perform effectively. Key Skills & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline (Level 8) with at least 7 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a management role; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and 5+ years in a management role. Proven track record in program management within a regulated environment. Medical device product development experience is essential. Strong technical expertise in DOE, Six Sigma, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM). Skilled in stakeholder management. Experience working with physicians to identify unmet clinical needs. Willingness to travel up to 10%.
