Senior Resident Engineer

Access Talent Group are supporting an international consultancy seeking a skilled Resident Engineer to join their team in Cork. As a Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing civil engineering projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulations and quality standards. You will play a key role in managing the construction process, resolving technical issues, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities: Manage and oversee civil engineering projects from conception to completionEnsure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budgetReview and interpret project plans and specificationsCoordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project executionConduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standardsResolve any technical issues that arise during the construction processPrepare regular progress reports and communicate with clients and stakeholdersCollaborate with the design team to address any design changes or issues that may arise during constructionEnsure that all relevant permits and licenses are obtained and that all projects comply with regulatory requirementsPreferred Candidate Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldProfessional Engineering (PE) license is preferredProven experience as a Resident Engineer or similar role in the civil engineering industryIn-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelinesStrong project management and leadership skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressureFamiliarity with relevant software and tools such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and construction management softwareAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentCurrent project has a contract for the next 18 months, with guaranteed work following with new projects in the city!
