We're seeking a seasoned, empathetic manager to spearhead a team focused on driving adoption of AWS with our enterprise Greenfield customers.
You will have the exciting opportunity to lead a set of experienced account managers covering a diverse mix of customers across one or multiple industries. You'll have the business acumen and management background necessary to effectively add-value to field sellers who bring together cross-functional teams including sales, partner managers, professional services, business development, and product teams to deliver business growth for AWS and our partners.
Your responsibilities will include managing and growing a highly talented sales team focused on driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration. The ideal candidate will possess a sales management background that enables them to manage a team of account managers with engagements from the CxO level and manage a sales pipeline. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical problems to solve, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Key ResponsibilitiesManaging and growing a diverse and high performing team of sales professionalsDriving adoption of AWS' full suite of services into a set of strategic enterprise Greenfield accountsExceed annual revenue and growth targets, applying high standards to business operationsCo-develop and help execute account plans with field sellersInspect joint GTM activities to drive and accelerate adoption of our products, working closely with AWS partner and cross-functional teamsBuild trusted relationships with the C-suite and key decision makers; understand the customer's business and technology challenges; dive deep and understand stated, unstated needs, issues.Working backwards from the customer, build and articulate a holistic, compelling, clear vision, strategy and practical execution plan for transformation – addressing business value, technology challenges but also increasing innovation and agility, addressing skills and org challenges.Drive a Challenger Sale - challenge the status quo, inspire customer to a bolder vision and increase the velocity of shift to digital; Address short, mid and long-term time horizons.Provide leadership to pull together and orchestrate all AWS resources to support customer success in digital transformation. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS8+ years of strategic Technology consulting / sales experience for large Enterprise Customers in the MENAT regionExperience in a customer-facing leadership/Management role in the technology industry managing a team of Sales professionals in the MENATDemonstrated ability to build trust, engage at C-Suite levels esp CIO, CTO. Demonstrated ability and track record of driving consulting sales engagements, in complex, fast paced environment by think big and having a 'challenger mindset'.Ability to think strategically but also dive deep into details and drive execution.Experience in leading sales, solution architect, cross-functional teams (direct reporting and virtual) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSArabic SpeakerExceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. Established track record of building rapport with customer executives (e.g. CEO, COO, CIO, CTO, CMO), building close relationships, and closing large revenue accounts, ideally across multiple industries.Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners. You've not only carried quotas, you've consistently exceeded them by doing the right thing for your customer.Experience in a heavily matrixed sales environment, including developing, implementing, managing, and executing cross-functional solutions-led go-to-market growth initiatives and sales motion.Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms. Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.Extended and certified Cloud knowledge (e.g. AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solution Architect Associate certified).
