We are seeking an energetic, committed Senior Social Worker to join our Children's Disability Network Team 3, South Kerry (Killarney and Tralee).

Kerry Job Summary This post is in Network 3 (South Kerry), working as part of an Interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young adults, 0-18yrs and their families.
This will include children and young adults with Intellectual, Physical, Sensory disability, children on the Autistic Spectrum and children and young adults at risk of or query developmental delay; where their needs require the support of an Interdisciplinary Disability team.
This team is under the national model of service provision "Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People" lead by the HSE.
The successful candidate will be employed by the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland.
The Network 3 South Kerry team is based in Killarney and Aras an Phobail base in Tralee, Co. Kerry.
The Senior Social Worker will work in conjunction with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the service user group and the objectives of the organisation and North Kerry CDNT.
The Social Workers will be responsible for the provision of a high quality service and will carry out Social Work duties as required.
She/he will be required to work as a key contact for particular cases as well as be part of IFSPs.
The Candidate: Professional Qualifications, Experience etc. Eligible applicants will be those on the closing date for the competition: Must be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.
AND Have 3 years full time relevant post qualification experience working as a Social Worker.
AND Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office. Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued. Have experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary/ Interdisciplinary team. Have experience of receiving and processing social work related referrals and prioritising Social Work caseload. Have Social Work experience with relevant/related client group from (birth – 18 years) and their families. Preferable experience working in the area of disabilities and/or with children with complex needs Annual registration On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.
AND Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC). Health Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
