A day in the lifeYou advise Software Development Managers, Sr. Software Managers, Product Managers, and other Engineers on product architecture and technical solutions.
You provide the architectural and technical vision for the Product/Service and lead the team technically towards the vision.
You evaluate multiple technical choices and make the right trade-offs between short-term needs and long-term requirements.
You mentor team members and raise the bar on high standards with your reviews of their artefacts.
You are hands-on and take up the development of complex pieces of the architecture and write exemplary code that raises the bar on coding standards and best practices.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
