You will be able to work with the latest technologies and help build some of the most well-known and visited websites in the country.
You'll get to use your experience to develop our engineering process, influence decisions when building new features and ensure the scalability and availability of the platforms.What will I be doingSoftware Engineers at Distilled build the core services to support our different products, websites and apps.
We strive to use the best technologies for a job and are continuously upgrading our technology stack.Here's just some of the things you'll work on:Build and maintain features and products across our platforms.Ensure the codebase is clean, scalable and secure.Work with other like minded developers as part of an agile team.Work with our product, quality and site reliability teams.What skills and experience do I needAt least 7 years proven ability in a similar role.Excellent knowledge of Java and Object Oriented design principles.Experience and understanding of MVC, IoC and ORM frameworks.Solid understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.Experience building RESTful APIs.A self-starter with an analytical approach who is comfortable working on their own initiative and handling their time effectively.Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills.A degree or masters in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field.A passion for technology and a hunger to adopt new industry trends.Advantage if you have:Experience using Spring, ElasticSearch, AWS, Docker and container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.Experience using Jenkins or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.Experience building microservices and working with messaging queues.Experience of Prometheus / Grafana for monitoring/alarming of services.Experience working with PHP, JavaScript, CSS or HTML is a bonus.What's it like to work hereYou will have the opportunity to work with one of Ireland's fastest growing Internet companies.
